Right now in the far-west Chicago suburbs, we're not just having a winter storm... it's raining ICE. It's awful. I hate to think of the number of road accidents there are going to be tomorrow! This - apart from our record-breaking measurable snowfall on October 12th (earliest ever) - is our first winter storm this year. Yikes! I'm looking forward to much balmier weather than this when we're in NZ in April.

It's currently -3C (feels like -9C) or 27F (feels like 15F).

It's still raining ice.

ICK.

And thanks Batty! And yes you've gone soft.

Its been a lovely day but Im so tired right now.... Ive been on my feet all day. This is the longest time Ive sat down today. Even at 4 oclock the sun was still intense enough to burn.... was only 18 degrees today but we plastered ourselves in suncream.
