Default Teaching qualificationand time served

I have just read that my teaching qualification might not be any good as i haven't worked a certain number of days in every year as i took time out to raise my kids. I initially though that i would just get my qualification ratified and then my teaching experience would be used to decided where to put me on the scale, is this right?

This may help or add to the confusion....for full registration or to renew you need the recent experience......there must be an interim position you would have thought.
