teacher visit
When applying for a teaching job in UK it is normal to visit the school before hand. Just wondering if the same is recommended in NZ?

I would always ask. Maybe speak to the HoD and see when it would be easiest for them. I can often give you an edge when applying to mention something that only a visit would reveal. Shows you are taking an interest.

I would say yes. Good for both of you, you wouldn't want to apply for a job knowing nothing about the school. Shows the Principle you're serious, gives you an idea of the vibe around the school.

My mum's a Principal in NZ and she says it's normal to visit a school you are applying for. She said it shows interest.
