Titirangi is much more rainforest and nice bays and coastline. Loads of english around there, quite a nice little village but is expensive.

Te Atatu peninsula has very varied areas from very low income estates to million dollor luxury houses, just depends.

Titirangi is lovely and bushy and busy. Great access to beaches. Good primary schools.
But
Damp and dark. Even in summer and this can get some people down
I know someone who hated it as she said you can't walk anywhere with the kids as there are no foot paths (not strictly true but you get the point)

Te Atatu
Good value
Good primary school as well. Pretty in parts
Handy for motorway but busy to get on in Rush hour - it is a peninsula after all

Any other places that you are thinking of?
