Tauranga and Rotorua
 

Can anyone out there recommend a clean, ensuite and reasonably priced room ($80 - $100) per night per room for two. I would be happy with less $ but by the looks of things that may be one request too many.

we stayed at Redwood Holiday park a couple of weeks ago, 2kms out of rotorua, we had a self contained unit (4 adults, 2 small kids). it was in need of modernisation but it was clean & tidy. we payed $160 per night for a 2 bed. heres the link http://www.redwoodparkrotorua.co.nz/

When we went to Rotorua we stayed in a heritage hotel, it was really good and would highly recommend

We stayed in the Novatel for about $135 a night over the christmas break (ie peak season) so they might have sub $100 deals now???

or you could try the holiday camp on Lake Rotorua just 5 km north (in Ngongata sorry cant spell but will look up details if needed) which was $65 per night - Large seperate bedroom with bunk (if you had kids) and lounge, then seperate kitchen and bathroom (only shower, no bath). This should also be cheaper as the price quoted was during peak season.
