The Taranaki Rescue Helicopter Saga
I can foresee a few flaws in the CAAs argument in regards to safety on this decision. There would need to be a damned good statistical basis for me to believe the risk posed by air rescue helicopters was greater to those on the ground than the benefits of fast response air rescue.
