Swanson Auckland

Does anyone know or live in the Swanson area? Husband is going to look at a house tomorrow and it looks amazing on paper but......... He may put an offer in

Yeah, Swanson is OK. It's still an area that offers opportunities for regular people - that's to say it's neither been 'discovered' and gone all trendy, nor overrun with investor type pariahs. It has a good mix of cultures - very Westie in that regard! And I'd say it offers something for everyone. The schools don't have a great rep but are improving - which kind sums the suburb up.

Thumbs up from me

That's it. Said lights come on automatically when you go from room to room. Triple glazed and constant temp of 22degrees year round. Said spec is very high. Said looks even better in the flesh!

I have previously won the lottery.

I won £10 years ago.

I am not sure a lottery win would be sufficient to buy a house like that in Auckland.

Re: Swanson Auckland

Not my £10 for sure! We would need a very very good exchange rate! :D

It's around the 1.5 million NZ$ mark - which is very high for Swanson (but there are quite a few luxury houses in the vicinity - more so on Scenic Drive) but if it was in a more desirable location, like Mission Bay or Remuera, you'd be looking at 3 or 4 times that price.

It will be interesting to see what it goes for at auction, if it goes.

I didn't. I am still tempted but don't want to be lonely!
