warehouse and pac and save have undercover carparks as does center city here(shopping mall)

wouldnt know a comparison for land prices to be honest, but what we paid certainly a fraction of the cost back in scotland , and as we bought it with british money was really cheap we paid 113,000 dollars for 1/4 acre with all ammenities at site already and a view of the mountain which was the big seller for us.

pac and save has the wee single size trolleys , but i dont use them cos lucy like to sit in the trolley scanning the shopping lol so we use the big yellow ones or some times the wee princess ones if any left

I heard that Chinese buy chicken feet to eat. Not surprising.
Mostly the Chinese and other Asians for the chicken feet, but the rest is used extensively in British cooking.

Steak and kidney pie
Liver and onions
Haggis
Pan-fried lambs brains ($40 at the local French restaurant)
Pate & terrines
Tripe (pretty sure Northerners eat that raw)

Not this Northerner. Couldn't even bare to look at the stuff in the shops, it just looks revolting . Infact I could never work out who bought the stuff. No-one I know has eaten it. So I think that's a bit of a sweeping statement sr71

Tripe and onions is a very Northern dish - almost exclusively Northern. As is eating cold tripe with vinegar. You may not eat it but it is indisputably Northern.

For starters, Countdown in Highland Park and Botany both have massive underground carparks and I love them when it is raining and/or a scorching summer day.

But NOW

just feel like to throw up everything that I ate........imagining/thinking of tripe or something similar....

sr 71 it's F***ing disgusting. you make me sick.

somehow chicken feet seem slightly better than the tripe. ..

I eat none of above. I can't even eat lamb and beef steak either (unfortunately).

not sure if this is a cultural thing really. one is better than the other?

I mean people eat Tripe VS people eat Chicken feet.

Given where you went for breakfast you should have perhaps asked for some andouillettes, or a horsemeat burger.

I'm surprised you are so shocked (I presume you are Asian) because on the scale of gross things they are far worse than us Europeans.

(I've got weak and very sensitive stomach - I get very easily sick or vomit.)

maybe it's an indivisual thing?

hmmm.. I've never had such yucky thing while growing up...... or in my life. It really depends where you from and family thing as well I would think.

the scale of gross thing........? no all asian countries or their cultures are gross tho. at least where I lived.......... was fine............(only lived there 1/3 of my life there ....hence I don't know much about ...) surely I didn't live in China or South East Asia or somewhere crap places.............so I don't know.

additionally I was largely exposed to American culture........and I was educated by American teachers at school..............My brother still has got strong American accent when he speaks though.

(And I grow up with American food) think you already know I still love those american rubbish.......yay? perhaps I am slightly different from other people (background) I think... my dad's family is living in the US....mostly. Like my dad did, his brother also did his phD in Arizona (cos he got a scholarship from there), and is still there and teaching... but it's something 25 years ago.... so my nephews etc they all born and bred in the States. When I was young, we used to visit the States fairly often - on a regular bases and stayed there for months and months..

maybe you don't want to believe me all that.....but I've got no reason to lie........ Indeed, my background is very complicated. and that's why I am being a crazy mixed up kid bit..... I am very sad... (I hate to talk about my family thing here tho.)

afrer all, I am not that familar or comfortable with asian culture........and people - I am being serious.

I am the wrong person ....if you ask me such question... don't wind me up.

Why would I?

I don't like/eat processed meats.

Incidentally, my mate often orders Big English breakfast ......including black pudding etc....... No wonder he is a typical Pom. and he always asks/offers me some sausages whatever but I say NO.

Heard of tripe and onions but never tried it. Never heard of cold tripe and vinegar and I'm from the North East!
Steak and kidney pie
Liver and onions
Haggis
Pan-fried lambs brains ($40 at the local French restaurant)
Pate & terrines
Tripe (pretty sure Northerners eat that raw)
Apart from the brains which I have tried and they were not good I love steak and kidney and liver.
Bit disappointed I have not seen liver in either of my two local New Worlds. Mr Sue isn't bothered by its absence at all
