summer is just around the corner

So whats a good activity to be doing this summer?

Our top three are:

1. beach
2. Camping
3. kayaking

1. backyard cricket, beach cricket, park cricket, you get the idea...

2. barbecues with plenty of frosty golden bevies

3. lawn mowing

summer around the corner? nah, doesn't start till at least late Jan here in welly!

Lucky. Here in Christchurch summer waits 'til everyone has to go back to work and the kids go back to school. But, yeah, when it does get here it is pretty damn nice.

prob late feb is the best time in welly. For a few weeks...

fortunately I will be basking in the warm auckland sunshine by then. Yay!

Do you play French Cricket? Or is that the same as Backyard Cricket? It's where one person is in bat, but they don't move from the spot. You played that before?

Personally I found the humidity in Auckland unbearable, and that was in April. Yuck! You step outside and you're already drenched. Too much like Chicago summer.

When it's nice in Welly : you can't beat it. (Shh don't tell anyone i said that : Don't want toooo many poms moving here!!)

But, for me, they are tooo few and far between,

Have you lived in a place with really high humidity?... (did you catch why the Chicago Marathon was cancelled - heat and humidity - and that's when it was nearly finished!

)

Yeah I have. Brisbane! I lived in Uitenhage South Africa for a while too. Nice 38 degree weather...

thats just waaaaay to hot for me. perfect is 25-30 degrees
