Default Successful teaching registration with GTP?

Hello,

This is my first post. I have been using this site as an unregistered user for just over 9 months now and have found the information invaluable. Thank you to all those users who have unknowingly supported my husband and I in our PR application, which was approved last month!!

I am a primary teacher (just completed my 3rd year) and wondered if anyone has achieved teacher registration with QTS via GTP? I have been liaising with the NZ Teaching Council and have been advised to apply under the Track 2 provisions. I somehow feel this is a non-starter and can't bring myself to consider re-training once we get over there?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Hi Kings_Green, happy to see you've posted at long last! I'm sorry I can't assist with your question, but I'm sure someone will be able to and will come along later. If not we'll bung it in the Immigration section where someone might be better placed to advise you.

Happy posting and welcome.

Where abouts in Birmingham are you? My SIL is in Solihull, MIL was from Kingshurst and my Dad grew up in Edgbaston.

Small world - we're in Kings Heath, both of us born and bred. Hoping to get to Christchurch by Jan/Feb, although work looking more likely for hubby around Tauranga.

Well I'm in Papamoa, Tauranga so if you want any info on this area just give me a shout. What does Hubby do, out of interest?
