Just wondering who in the area up there.
I'm moving up from cambridge in the waikato in about 3 weeks time.
Have found a cool place to rent right on the beach (literally, i can fish from my front lawn ) in Arkles Bay.
Might be nice to catch up with some friendly faces when i get there.

It's at the Pacific Bar. Starts at 7.30pm but you'll need to be there a bit earlier. You will also need to book a table as it gets very busy, unless someone lets you join their team. A maximum of 8 people allowed in each team. We no longer go as we find it too noisy in there. I'm partially deaf so can't hear what's going on. Shame really, because we used to love going especially when it was at Neptune's.

Franny the quiz-master is great fun & perfect for the job.

it is really busy and you cant often hear all the questions but it does have a really goood atmosphear. Some of the teams have been going for years and win most weeks, were actually really bad but do occasionally get some right lol let us know when you arrive up this way and your welcome to join us.

We're in Arkles... bought here a few weeks ago, BEAUTIFUL part of the world. We're up on the hill, your beachfront pad looks amazing! Often walk along the beach, and the waters lovely and warm in the summer as its shallow for about 200 meters - bring on the hot BBQ days!
I can vouch that the quiz on a Weds night is ace... free $50 bar tab up for grabs for the winning team!

Where on "the hill" are you? We've just bought a new build on Hawaiian Parade overlooking the valley! Ive got to agree we've found our paradise home we hoped to find before we left the UK..... So so happy!
We'd love to join you all for a night at the quiz but it's very unlikely with two little ones to care for, although we have the in laws coming over in November so you never know we may get a night out!!

Welcome to the peninsular there are a lot of us here, The Quiz night is really good and Fran the quiz master lol is very entertaining, some times people have taken their kids, but if you ever get stuck we have a 17yr old who often babysits for people that wanna go and have a night of freedom.

Equally have a young one (and 2 not-old-enough-to-be-useful in that regard)...
