Default Somewhere to rent in Karori

Hi Folks

Well everything is underway and we hope to be over January 2008
What we've decided on, so it's less travelling for hubby is we might like to live in Karori, Wellington suburb. What I need is a furnished 3 bed house to rent for a few months as we have to wait for furniture to arrive and we will have to make sure our house here is sold before we can buy. So where is the best place to rent furnished from, or even a holiday let would be OK. One thing we've found is most of the rentals seem to be unfurnished and a lot won't have pets (bringing the dog).

Ant advice or contact details would be greatly appreciated.

See you all soon

Hi,

Karori is a nice suburb, bit colder and wetter than others (in the hills) but nice community, schools, shopping and easy access to city.

Try looking at trademe http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Cate...59=0&x=50&y=17

Have had a quick look now but nothing that says yes to dogs. Problem is not many people like to rent with people with pets as worried about damage to property. Keep looking something may turn up.

Good luck with your move in January.

Looks like we have a similar idea (or is it problem?)

Is your dog a little dog or big dog? If it is a little dog then you may consider simply asking the owner directly whether you can bring it. Even if it does say "no pets". You may need to have special arrangements made (professional cleaning of the floors perhaps?) but it can be doable.

A furnished property is more difficult. Apartments are more frequently available furnished but I am not so sure with houses.
