yep local paper reported them the other week (on April 1st so could be a joke!!) - been blown into the east coast beaches...... our eldest's classmate confirmed a sighting up here.

Portuguese man of war live throughout the world, in North Yorkshire there were regular reports of them at Redcar, 50m stinging tentacles wow,
But they are not quite as scary as a yellow cobra-like sea snake coming towards you (he says conjuring up "Jaws" type music)
