Last Monday my New Zealand boyfriend of 3 years finally could take no more of living in the UK and booked a flight home. He is now a VERY happy kiwi, ecstatic in fact . I however was bricking it. 'I won't know anybody' sob! sob!. 'What if I don't get a visa' blub blub.. 'It's all happening so fast' dribble dribble. I remained in this sullen state for about a week until I came across this website.
Thank god, because actually it's going to be fine, I will meet lots new people, the visa will work out somehow and in a years time I will be thinking gosh it didn't happen fast enough.
So see you all out there soon
Hello again,
can anyone recommend a shipping company, I'm sure there are thousands but a recommendation would be good. We live in Bristol, UK We're not actually going to bring that much stuff but we have got some items that wont fit in the hold!!
My boyfriend is from Waihi so hopefully he'll get a job in Tauranga but if not its Auckland for a while...

Hi and good luck with the plans. I am waiting on the last 2 shipping quotes to come in then I will post all the prices. We are coming from NE Scotland and shipping to Nelson. Will post asap. Just as a word of warning, get lots of quotes. It is pretty boring but so far our quotes have varied by around 2k (GBP)!

Thank you florabundi for the guide of 2k.
Don't worry Justcol... I have been to Waihi and its' rather large hole and I don't intend to be increasing its population!! although Waihi Beach is lovely compared to what I have which is either Severn beach or Weston super mare... Grim.

If you are not bringing over furniture etc, then this company is worth a look at. Someone on here has used them and was happy with their service.

Thanks for all the positive responses guys.
Had my chest x ray Friday £110 for 10 minutes work not bad, I'm in the wrong job!! Medical tomorrow at noon. It's going to be a struggle to not eat for 12 hours.. I shall have a feast of all things fatty and sugary prepared for the second I'm out of there. Please let all my tests be tickety boo.
Did a car boot sale over the bank holiday, am selling EVERYTHING. I thought I'd really hate all the haggling but it was such good fun met some lovely people.
If my visa gets turned down at least I will be left with my double egg cup holder that didn't sell!!
I just want to get the application in and be in New Zealand for Feijoa season, my boyfriend raves about them!
Until the next time...!
