It's snowing on the Kapiti Coast!!!!! Told by the locals it's been decades since that last happened.
I'm up in the hills & the scenes are stunning. Lovely gentle snow falling.
Interesting to see how the day pans out.

We've got 4½ inches here and it's still snowing intermittently.
Mr S has gone to work so there's no one here to have a snowball fight with
His car tracks out of the garage have disappeared already!

Snowed quite heavily here in Mapua and Moutere last evening. Good enough for a snow ball fight
First time since 1945 apparently.

-3.8 degrees out this morning, if that melting and slushy snow has refrozen it'll be a sheet of ice .

Snow again?
This time I'm taking the car. Last time I walked following their advice not to drive unless essential. For reasons that can't easily be explained without sounding insulting the council then cleared the road by pushing the snow onto the footpaths making walking extra treacherous!
