In friends' houses they either don't have a built in lock or they have a little bolt added by someone after the door furniture had been fitted.
Strange but true.......
Must be old houses. Friends of mine built a new house in the 80s in Chch and there were built in locks in the bathroom, toilet and shower.

I find it strange watching people jump out of their cars at the swimmimg pool already clad in swimsuit and towel! They jump back in after swimming, soaking wet and drive off!
Love it

Nelson and Motueka - very very sleepy places... And this reminds me, I gave someone a ride who was hitchhiking and when I went to fill up at the gas station the bastard went through my glove box and robbed me! Nice welcome to NZ!
