Default The slag off New Zealand Ultimate Thread.

The only rule is that everything has to be factually correct.

I'll start.


New Zealand is currently 12 hours ahead of GMT. This makes it terrible to talk to family and watch live football games.

Well as the driest bit of NZ is reportedly somewhere near Nelson and in Stoke today they were a little inunated by rain then it follows logically that NZ is wetter than the UK..........mmmm........or does it.

It certainly is warmer at night here, 18C at 0600h this am, not bad for late May (AKA November).........
Oh yeah there is too much daylight for us insomniacs - I need more seratonin......cant understand why I cant go to work in the dark and come home in the dark too!!!!!

All this warm and dry weather is not actually a good thing for late May in New Zealand. The farmers are going to suffer, the price of lamb going down as people move stock quickly as they cannot afford to feed them. So over all, not actually very good for NZ economy as a whole. never mind though you still have good views to look at!

I think we got the whole months' in one day this morning!!! Nelson definitely did, 93mm in 24 hours.

you're probably right there - as the milk prices are going up for next year they'll wish they had moo cows instead! Soz about my post on the other thread......have some Karma for not jumping down me throat!!!

Actually you'll find that Kev and sarah were right! go to www.timeanddate.com/worldclock it shows the time has 05.40 in Auckland we're 18.40 in the UK

Erm, It is 12 hours ahead of GMT as jennifer45 pedantically said above, currently England is on BST , and NZ is 11 hours ahead of that,
don't you listen to BBC world service ?
