Singapore hotels
Too many hotels to choose from! We're doing a two night stay - anyone got any preference for one of the hotels, or any reasons for avoiding any hotels?

Re: Singapore hotels
We stayed at Raffles the Plaza. It was excellent and lots cheaper because it was one of the only hotels that allowed us to have two children in the room and therefore didn't have to pay for a second room!
We also booked a private minicab which picked us up from the airport and returned us in one piece. It was £2 more expensive than the minibus arrangement which stops at every hotel etc and to see someone with a sign with our name on after such a long flight and in the early hours of the morning was a great relief. Singapore was excellent - very organised, clean and the hotel was superb!

Also, GH is very near some great nighttime food markets (10 min walk) and Haagen-Dazs shop!
I am sooooo very very jealous!
Oh, have also stayed at Raffles, pre its refurb, so a long time ago now

Probably by far the best value for Singapore in a good location, heaps better than a pretty expensive hotel we stayed at on honeymoon which stank of smoke (in our non-smoking room) even though it had better restaurants. Would have checked out of that one had I not arrived with flu!
