Default Show us your NZ garden pics please.

We're coming into summer now so let's have a bit of a share perhaps.

Anyone willing to share a pic of their NZ garden & a bit about it .

Mwahaha.

Attachment 129075

I will post up some pics laters. We inherited ours so it is old-fashioned and high maintenance. Attempts to help this over the past decade have so far failed.
Just off for a mulch mountain so back laters.

Nice green lawn Justcol. Ours has browned off already.

No water restrictions here, it gets watered daily.
Can anyone recommend a good ride on, pushing a mower
around half an acre every spare weekend is killing me

It does look a challenge. How about one of these...

If you are feeling flush get a Walkers zero turn, mine cut my mowing time by 50%. But probably overkill for your little patch without obstacles :-).

I don’t know how to put a photo on here from my phone so no pics but I did count the flowers on the cucumber plants this morning. 4 plants and each have about 8-9 flowers on. So if they all become cucumbers that will save me approximately $700 in supermarket cucumber purchases 😀. Think I’ll plant more this week

A Walker mower would be overkill for me
I'd be off doing everyone else's lawns just to feel I was getting me moneys worth

Can't go wrong with a John Deere green machine
Couldn't afford one myself so went for a used Cub Cadet LT1042 which I'd also recommend as a garden tractor type. Bit more affordable but still easy to fix, generally inexpensive parts, easy to work on and easily serviceable yourself.
If I could afford a new one I'd be going for a zero turn thingy as they're just awesome, but start at $6k so not likely

Our wee veggie patch.

Lots going on though. Heaps of chard, lettuce, onions, beetroot, tomatoes.

Not done a great deal of work on the retaining wall as the Mrs has been working quite a bit recently so have the mini-me to look after so only getting the odd hour or so on my days off and just can't seem to get any momentum going as always having to stop and start. In laws just arrived so hopefully get some time to work on it.
