we used venture pet in January very good, Lisa the owner was lovely. We used Crown for the removals and will never use them again, I have never had such a stressful move.
Good luck in your journey,
we have now returned back here and starting to find our feet again!
regards Jane
ps not sure if you know about the rabies jab and the 6 month wait in order to shio your pooch costs about $450 as the blood test needs to go to oz!

No personal experience but friends who moved back in April used NZ Van Lines and found them to be excellent in every way.
They said the other companies they had in to quote couldn't be certain that it would all go into a 20ft container. But Van lines were sure it would and it did with room to move. All care etc taken and nowt brocken at the other end.
Sorry cant help with the dog side of things other than get on and get the rabies jabs etc done of it will be 6 months quarrantine in th UK.
Good luck with the move.

We used conroys for our removals back to the UK from Hamurana. And a company in Auckland called Southern Comfort Kennels, flew the dogs and cat back. All arrived in good condition
We used Britannia and NZ van lines to bring some things over from the UK and lots of things were broken and stolen and we were told to claim on our insurance so I wouldn't personally use them.
Good Luck with your move

our experience of crown from NZ to UK Nov 2009
The day of the removal Nov 2009 3 crew urned up one of them a trainee an hour late at 9.30 at 10.30 a 'quality guy' turned up and ripped apart everything the trainee had done and made her repack half of it. No respect for the house whats so ever walls bashed which had been newly painted etc. At 7pm only half of the house packed the rest was literally thrown on the van no regard for bashing or braking anything, not wrapped etc.
Fast forward to Jan and a phone call stating we needed to pay storage, no I said was agreed in contract would be waived UK office not happy, Delivery happened in Feb the sub contracted guys were brilliant however the inventory did not match what was delivered ie number x was supposed to be the fridge tuned out to be my wedding dress. They had finished at 3pm we were missing half of our large furniture, as the inventory did not match we could not tell what was missing other than the sofa, dinning table, 4 of the 6 chairs a book case etc. Several pieces of furniture were damaged
Further unpacking revealed all the packed boxes we had agreed to pack had been repacked and instead of like things put together they were spread over several boxes. Items like inherited photos children keepsakes etc i still do not know to this day if I am missing anything.
Upon investigation it was discovered that half of our load was still in NZ! we then had to wait a further 8 weeks for delivery. The Uk office did compensate for damaged items and provided hire furniture, but I felt like I had been burguled, I do not think I will ever know if we have everything needless to say the move back has made me very nervous!

Hi
Can I be cheeky and ask what sort of price you were quoted?
We are moving back, but it will be a few months after you (possibly a little more) but I am just starting to think about getting an idea of price of shipping.
Also - is 20ft for a standard 3 bed type house - or more or less.
Many thanks

I got a quote a couple of months back. 20ft container sole use. Just shy of $9000

As a ball park, we usually say the average 3 bed house would utilise a 20ft container to move. It's about the size of a standard single garage.
