shipping Honda CBF 125
Son is talking about coming over on a WHV and wants to know the best way to ship his bike and what he has to do once it's over. Who ever he has spoken to says he has to have a custom quote on it?
so a few questgions:
Who is a reasonable/reliable shipper?
Approx cost to get through customs
Getting his NZ licence, is it just go get eye tested and pay your money for NZ Licence?
He has only just passed his test so has a restricted full licence
restricted to 33bhp, what implications does that have here?
Is it worth selling the Honda and getting a bike out here?

Probably at least $600 in inspection fees/rego before it can be used on the roads. As previous poster said, probably not worth it.

If he is on a WHV mothball it (maybe store for free in a friend's garage??), and buy one here , sell when he returns home, least fees/costs involved all round.

great idea about moth balling, yes think it might be cost effective to get one over here.
