Shipping Costs from US
Folks just been granted residency and need to ship stuff from the states.
Have tried searching for a thread on costs but no luck.
Does anyone know roughly how much to ship a 20 or 40' container. They are based in North Carolina.

Hello Nick333,
We shipped our stuff in a 40 foot container from Virginia to Christchurch and it cost us approximately US$7K and about another NZ$ 1400 at this end. That was almost 1 year ago to the day. The US leg was far below what anyone else quoted us.
What part of NZ are you moving too if you don't mind me asking?

Just checked the quote I got and it was actually for a 20 foot 4,000lbs container and not 40 foot.
