Can any one suggest how big a container is needed to ship an average 2 x adult, 2 x kids family possesions. I cant picture it needing a full container but as we all know, things soon mount up then your stuck without enough space. So then are we talking about £2000 as my quotes seem to be

The company we are using came to our house and we showed them what we wanted to take and they went from there - we are 2 adults and 3 kids and are going groupage at a cost of £2900 (inc insurance and 3 months storage). This included beds, sofas, bookcases, computer equipment, pictures, books (hundreds of), several boxes of personal possessions, clothing, bedding etc, toys, garden furniture (that's since dropped to pieces) and bikes. Looking at other posts this seemed relatively average - if you can be bothered to look back (I usually can't!) :D there was a thread on this around July,

We are taking everything (3 bed house contents for 2 adults and 2 children) this includes all garden toys (children's and hubby's!!! ride on mower!!) and bikes. Filling 20ft container at price of £3800 door to door service. We had 3 quotes and this was cheapest and best deal. Hope it helps, Judy

We paid close to 4k with insurance for a 20ft container, door to door service, we used PSS, they came and packed and wrapped everything and I mean everything, our container arrived in Timaru yesterday and gets deliverd to us on Friday, NZ Van lines are coming down from Christchurch to unload and unpack everything, I'll let you know how it goes. :)
