Scorching !

Possibly heading beyond 30 next week. Stay hydrated out there, I recommend not going further than 6 feet from the drinks cooler and doubling your siesta.

Scorching the past two days.
Himself is on-call but we've been a-sploshing and a-bobbing along in the turquoise briny blue sea.
Tiz only 5 mins from us and so easy to time it right with the tides.
Flipping windy though so a pebbly bay is better than an exfoliating sandy sandfly ridden beach .

Can confirm reports of Scorch! Was out at Cape Palliser looking at the Putangirua Pinnacles and getting some post-Christmas fitness. Miss Charismatic (who is far fitter than I am) almost had to drag me up to the top.

30 degrees in Chch the past two days, finally the summer heat has arrived after a shocking November and December! Certainly takes a little re-acquainting with after the cool weather, but I love it. Set to repeat for most of the week

In excess of 30C today so rather nasty scorchy stuff. Doing the sensible thing by acting like a pair of sundials seeking any shade and faint breeze. Even the cat has its own fan.
Not good at all for our NZ birds &wildlife which some are struggling. Not good for locsl growers either.
Bring on some sensible temps.
