Re: Scorching !
Recently it's felt just like being back in Manchester, rain followed by occasional drizzel with short breaks of light showers

Re: Scorching !
Actually we had some decent weather in Oct & Nov, but these last two weeks have been disappointing to say the least, and looks like another shocking weekend, rain & wind.

One thing that strikes me down here is how bad the weather service is, they don't just get it a little off.
Most of the time they are so far from what's actually going on its laughable. I'm sure they still use a pine cone on the windowsill.
This was taken yesterday when the prediction was for heavy cloud and rain

I think you've forgotten how bad the weather is in Manchester. The wind recently has been horrendous plus I had to scrape ice off the car this morning

Re: Scorching !
Well we attempted scorchio and thought it too good to be true as we heard a rumour that summer might eventually have arrived in Auckland for more than half a day.
Alas, it seems this was just blip and the sun has gone all shy again; the sky is back to the grey pallor, rain is in the air and cool breeze has descended.
Hey ho, roll on February when the kids go back to school, we might get some scorchers.
