Default Schools & Fees

Hi All

I have been looking at what I think are public (Govt funded) schools and see that some are commanding extortionate fees, is this correct or are these private schools?

I know for local schools that donations are paid but this is no where near the amounts that I am seeing.

Kind regards

it was Royal Oaks Primary School in Epsom. The cost for an international student (which is I think what my daughter will be) is NZD 12,000

What makes you think your daughter will be an international student? Sounds unlikely to me if yopu are living in NZ.

Hi Soozi

I think it was just a terminology issue on my part, for me, Domestic refers to local born students whereas International would be a foreign born child.

Fully understand the issue now, my daughter will be a Domestic student, phew, panic over.

Regards
