Default Sausage meat and chipolatas?

Compliments of the season everyone . Can anyone please recommend a good butcher on North Shore or Hibiscus Coast who sells traditional sausage meat and chipolatas? I used to go to Jansens in Browns Bay but when I went the other day it was all closed down....disaster!! Thanks in advance

You could try Nosh on Constellation Drive. Previous years have been an epic fail for me on sourcing anything near decent sausage meat, so I have stopped looking and now taken to buying best pork mince (Nosh usually have Freedom Farms mince).

Thanks, I will give that a try. I did try Farra but no luck there unfortunately.. Here's hoping :-)

I'm dreading making my sausage rolls this year. The sausage meat in New Zealand is the consistency of pate. The end result is just flavoured mush inside pastry.

Might pinch Bo Jangles' idea of using pork mince this year.

Chipolatas ? I've given up there too, I just use regular sausages.

The smell of my home made sausage rolls baking has become one of the traditional smells of Christmas Eve.

However, as I can't get good sausage meat and having the oven on in this heat is just another Christmas heart sink for me.
