Default Sacramento Are anyone?

I've lived in Placerville, Northern California and have had a really hard time making friends. I'm fairly sure it's not me, so please help prove me right.

Well, Placerville isn't exciting Las Vegas that's for sure. I have been in Sacramento for 10 years and am chomping at the bit for some culture.
I thought I had it bad. But in the foothills most people keep to themselves.
Don't take it personally. I came to the USA in 1988, and I have lived in San Diego, Seattle & Boston. Wish I could go back to either one. The people are more open and there is so much more to do. Here, it's either San Francisco (a 2 hr drive), or Reno. And Reno isn't exactly the cultural hub of the World.
