Thanks, feeling quite nervous now, will give it our best shot, and hopefully all goes well on the day. Should be interesting to get more information, just have to make sure we take lots of magazines, books, games etc for the girls!

hi there,
we have only just thought about the RNZAF emailed them last week about the process nothing back yet but it is the weekend now. do they only do one recruitment process per year from the uk? if so thats annoying. we had looked at the australian airforce but his trade isnt on the transfer list at the moment (weapons tec). we were in auz in march and went to the recruitment place and he just said we have to and see if it comes up.
thanks

Hi,
I'm a Squipper based at Coningsby
I have my interview on the 15th May 2008 for the RNZAF.
This site looks really useful as I feel I've got lots to do but don't know where to start.
I do have my doubts at the moment but after reading some of the comments of different people it sounds like the norm.
Can anyone tell me what to expect at the interview and the best way to be prepared for the day.
Thanks

Hi all, After much serious thinking and hours of research we have decided that we are not going to persue a transfer to the RNZAF at this time. We have a lovely home here and we live in a lovely part of the country. Our eldest wants to join the British army (REME) and in all we have a pretty good standard of living.
We arent saying never, just not just now, so to all of you going for interviews this month we wish you all the very best and hope it is all you wish for and more when you are successfull.
Thanks to all who answered our many questions and to you Divine Comedy for keeping me sane. GOOD LUCK.

cjandclare and rebecca, will let you know how it all goes, we are still going on 17th, can't believe it's so close. We feel that if we do not do it now, we never will and we were told that if we leave it they cannot guarantee vacancies so do not want to take the chance. Can't believe it's so close now, looking forward to finding out whether or not life in NZ is going to be an option for us all, depending on how interview day goes. All the best to you, hope it all works out emigration or not.

Folks, are there any pilots / engineers reading this thread? If so, I just want to clarify as to whether there is any Crew Resource Management Training carried out in NZ, and if so as to what level? Any info greatly appreciated, many thanks.

Hi there, had a good weekend in London, amazed it all went to plan. Rich had to fly in from Gulf and we travelled up from Cornwall, my two daughters in tow. The RNZAF were really friendly and relaxed and the whole experience was really good, whatever happens now am really glad we made the effort to go up and meet them. Will let you know what the outcome is as soon as we hear, they said it could be up until end of June, that could be up to 6 weeks later, did you hear any quicker?

It will be a major time of ups and downs, nailbiting times!
Best wishes.

Hey people was wondering if you can help us. My husband has enquired via the RNZAF website about joining and we were wondering how long it takes them to reply and if there is any other way of contacting them?
Thanks

Hi there welcome to our thread!
Dont know if there is another way to contact them whilst you are in 'enquiry stage' at the beginning for us it was all done through email via website. They are usually pretty efficient at returning emails, if you havnt heard anything after a couple of weeks I would give them another email ,sometimes ours went astray.
If I can help with anything I will try, I pop in still to see how all you newbies are going on!!
