Default RN TO RNZN

Hi,
Can anyone out there give me a heads up of what I have to come over the next year with a massive move to New Zealand.
I just accepted my Offer of Service and I have 100s of questions in my head. What should I look at bringing with us? How much work is there for my wife? etc. There is only me and my wife moving, have no house to sell in England, but if anyone has any tips for us, it would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Micky,

Welcome to BE.

Just to clarify are you referring to a move to New Zealand?

Ah okey dokey,

I'm going to move your thread to the New Zealand forum for you then.

They are a terrific bunch in there and are great at sharing info and stuff. If you get stuck on anything site related you can give the moderators and the concierges a shout anytime. The moderators are: BEVS and Am Loolah and the Concierges are Vitalstatistix and Kija

Kia ora and welcome to our cosy wee NZ forum .

Thank you for choosing to come to New Zealand.

Me and husband are a bit watery but that's to do with plumbing .

Ask away.

We are here.

Micky have you had a look at Arrse? They have an inetrnational section on their forums, including one for NZ.

I know it's an Army site but they will appreciate the difficulties that military wives/families encounter when moving abroad and the Navy are sort of military.

Micky
I am ex RN but left some years ago, but its a small world i bumped into a mate last week in Dunedin, we served together and have not seen him for ten years+. He came to NZ 6 years ago and was a WO1 in the RN. He transferred direct from the RN to the RNZAF so he might be able to help you with some of the military requirements. The forum can help you with everting else. please Personal Message me your contact details so i can pass on to see if my mate can help.
good luck
Stuart
