Default at risk of sounding like a whingeing pom...

we've been here the best part of 3 months, and i haven't found a decent brand of tea yet!!! help me, please!!

finally got our teapot and stuff last week, so i'm going to try some proper leaf tea this week, but i'd be grateful if you could share details of any decent you've found!!

in the uk i drank tea-direct fairtrade tea bags, or leaf darjeeling or assam so anything you've found similar to any of these, would be ace!!

thanks everso!!

whinge over!

The need to find good tea is never a whinge!

You might be better using tea leaves as I have found the tea here to be under powered.

Try http://www.chapter.co.nz/

Based in Mt Eden, they sell teas and will ship them to you for reasnoble rates. I use them for yummy green teas!

Hope this helps

You do whinge quite a bit for no reason (in my opinion anyway) but it's OK! This is why BE is for!!!

Actually it confused me. I don't think the content of the OP is a whinge.

Anyway for what it is worth I think personal taste is more relevant than which tea is best.

For me it is a nice cup of twinings. No milk or sugar.

The Twinnings here is no way as strong as the Twinnings in the UK. Spooky huh?

Still, at least the coffee is better!

Wine, now you are talking real drinks. I couldn't live without my glass of wine while cooking dinner.

I really am more of a coffee drinker than a tea drinker though recently I have taken to a cup of Twinings at afternoon tea.

And I do winge (under my breath) when I am in Aus because thier coffee is c*ap
