Hi Everyone:)


I am wondering if i could use your expertise:)

We were over in NZ in oct 2009 - I have a good job waiting to start in march and we have just been allocated a case worker for our PR visas.

However, like most of you we are stuck in the 'rent your house as it will not sell' situation and wondered if anyone had any advice re: tax on rentals????

we are defo going through an estate agent even though my brother lives 4 doors away he will be able to also keep a keen eye on it ;)

We plan to move to the Northshore and rent in and round the bays for a short period and have some equity to bring over if we decide to buy as renting is quite expensive i have noticed.

I would realy appreciate if anyone has any advice - are you in the same boat? what about tax? would you do anything different?????
