renewing british passports from nz
Does anyone know what and how you go about renewing your UK passport from NZ.Sorry I know this might be a dumb question but I am sure I will get some info on here.

My wife got hers renewed last year - it really is very simple, and the service you get in NZ exceeds that in the UK by miles.
My wife was one of the first to travel with the new type of passports with the chip included, every immigration official between Auckland and Heathrow (we stopped over in Singapore) had a good look at it and showed it to all their mates. |

OMG! .. my sons passport is due for renewal, all I ever seem to do here is pay out large amounts of money! |

You still got some family in the UK Sky?
Husband and son's passports have both expired and this is what we're going to do. * Ask MIL to post us some passport renewal forms from PO. * Fill in forms and post to UK High Commission - pay fee via credit card for 66 Pounds or $150 (give or take) and don't mention that we live abroad... * Have the HC send them to my MIL in Devon * Ask her nicely to send them back to me. Got to be cheaper than $300 a pop via Wellington... |

I sent my passport to Wellington last week got a new one sent and it only took 8 days cost $289 :ohmy: I have just sent it off to NZ Immigration to get residency transferred on to it it costs $40.good job it is only once every 10 years as its not cheap :(
