Relocating - recommendations in Northland?

Hi guys - quick recap. Returned home in 2011 after 24 years OE in London. Started a business and living in Auckland but now keen to move to a less populated area, avoiding fault lines if possible. Any recommendations for Northland? What's Whangarei like? Would like to be reasonably near the coast, but not necessarily on it. Business is mostly online so not too bothered about finding work, although I would like set up something new as well to keep my interest going. Thoughts? Happy to consider other areas.

I could happily live on the coast south of Whangarei - close enough to go up to the city, and only 1.5hrs down to Auckland for visits.
