Recommendations for car's
 

Hi hope you good people could help me out :) we will be arriving in NZ at the back end of Jan 07 and was wondering if anyone would or could recommend a second hand car dealership ;) . Our final destination will be Dunedin but we will be flying into Christchurch so any you can think of worth having a look at either in Christchurch or on the way down to Dunedin :D Thanks for all the anticipated help that we shall recieve and god bless you all :beer:

Hi there, you will be spoilt for choice when it comes to 2nd hand car dealers in chch - we've bought from cathedral cars, car city and paul kelly - all have been great, easy to deal with and responsible regarding their end of the bargain - have also had discussion with Value Cars who seemed pretty good.

Turner's Auctions in Christchurch is worth checking out. You get to inspect and test-drive the cars in a very low-pressure environment. As well as their daily auctions they have regular auctions of "Turners Approved" cars which have had a recent full service and a six-month warranty, and occasional "AA inspected auctions" which have full inspection reports on all the vehicles available. I got a nice Japanese station wagon there for $7500, when the sticker price for similar vehicles at dealers was about $11000, and so far it's been great.
