Cool recomendations for agents please!

Hi,
Can anyone recommend a decent agent to help us get our head around relocating to New Zealand? Our main query is for my parents..which we are trying to find a way for them to go {thinking about a long-term business visa}
Anyway, do any of the agents give a free initial consultation to see whether it is viable!?
Thanks in anticipation

Hi there and welcome

not sure about how to bring your parents over but the consensus on here is that paying an agent to help with immigration stuff is a real waste of money - the nz immigration site is really self explanatory and has all the info you could ever need and this process is expensive enough without paying someone else to do it for you.

Once you identify your route - if the website doesn't have the answers try here - there's usually someone who can help.

i couldn't agree more we used an agent because i didnt want the hassle as i run my own business and its the biggest waste of money don't do it all they do is repeat what immigration tell you and you still fill all the forms and get everything else all they do is look over everything and charge a bloody fortune like £27.00 for a 6 min phone call.
i repeat ddon'tdo it its cheaper to call NZ house for a £1 a min and ask them direct they are very nice people and they will help.

Hi, thanks for the relies..another question if I may...............
If we decided to go out via the 'long term business visa' where on earth do you start!!? I have looked at the "immigration New Zealand" official web site and once I start opening all the links..basically I get lost!
Is there a straightforward reading of this visa, has anyone else done it
all experiences gretfully recieved! By the way I am an experienced hairdresser {explains why I get so lost easily!!} and would like to open a business in this field what do you think!!?

Hi Kutskrazy

This is the link for the NZIS website which will take you directly to the page concerning long term business visas... http://www.immigration.govt.nz/migra...tingabusiness/

If you look over on the right hand side under 'Forms and Guides' you will see the application form to apply under this category together with a guide to assist you further...good luck with it all...
