Default Reciprocal Agreement NZ UK

NZ and UK have a reciprocal agreement with regard to pensions and child benefit to name but a few. I know if you have a pension here in NZ government claim back money from the UK, to go towards your NZ pension, if you are entitled to child benefit here, does this work the same way with some of your entitlement coming from the UK?

There is no entitlement, UK child benefit ceases as soon as you take the child permanently out of the country.

no you will not get child benefit. But when I called up to discuss our child benefit they did ask if we were going to be out of the country for more than 3years? at the time we had decided we were here for 5yrs and then look at it so I said yes. not sure why they asked and really should of asked them why but maybe someone else can when they call to cancel theirs
