Default Recce with a teenager -help!

We are looking at coming on a recce at Easter with our lovely hormonal 17 yr old . She's lovely really but has already said she doesn't want to spend hours in estate agents, job centres and boring stuff!

SO question is what can she do in Auckland, Tauranga and Welly while we are busy?

We hope to meet up with a few friends along the way, if there're any BE teenagers around she'd love to meetup with you. Please feel free to suggest meetup

I have a 19 yr old son, and "Winnie" has a 18 yr old daughter - when you come to Welly. I'm sure you teenager would rather be dropped off and chill while you do your bits.

Many thanks for the offer thats very kind of you.
We had a parent teacher meeting at college this evening and they are all saying daughter should be spending her Easter holiday doing course work for drama and media studies not going on holiday! so looks like we will either have to postpone the recce or go without her
I'll keep in touch and contact you nearer the time.
Thanks
Helen

Isn't it their job to say that...IMO life's too short to not let her go with you, we didn't take our girls on the recce and i really regret it now.
She may have a bit more work to do on her return, but as long as she know's that and is willing to go the extra mile to get it done i can't see the problem.

Thinking of you, Mandie

How stuffy of them! Can't she bring some course work with her and use her time in NZ gathering material for an NZ drama/media project. Am sure Toi Whakaari would provide facilities and Bats Theatre www.bats.co.nz are always looking for volunteers - there are all sorts of tv/film projects in production - let me know if you need some contacts.

CITS- Daughter says a huge thanks, but her film is on the college computer so she's got to edit it at college
The drama teacher suggested that she get a job in theatre/film during her gap year so she is very interested and excited in the idea of having 'a few contacts' in Welly- September onwards!
We'll PM you re this!
