Yes. NZ does have broadband. Lol.
Except in many very rural areas. Although I did read a situation where a couple bought a house on the outskirts of Auckland and their house was too far away from the exchange, meaning they had no broadband. So, if buying, it may pay to check whether the house has broadband first.

but its all on download limits, unlike the UK. Also a lot of it isn't fibre, so multiple users at peak times slow it down to dial up speeds (this happens where we live).

Indded it can take half an hour to watch a five minute Youtube, because we are allegedly still amongst the slowest in the world . But never mind, it is what it is, apparently Australia is worse.

The UK's is above the international average speed and clocks in at 599KBps. The United States came in at 26th, with an average speed of 616KBps

New Zealand's average download speed is 364KBps, just ahead of Australia at 348KBps.

In a list dominated by Asian and Eastern European nations, South Korea came in first with an average speed of 2,202KBps, followed by Romania (1,909KBps) and Bulgaria (1,611KBps).

That can't be right, that's really slow, we get 14500kbps (14.2mbps) in our semi rural location.
NZ average a few years ago was supposed to be around 13mbps.
My FIL in UK gets 20000kbps +.
Just looked it up for uk - 6.2mbps (6348kbps) average
