Quietest place to live?

Quietest place to live?
Some people will hate NZ because of this..for me at nigh on 50 bring it on!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
NZ is the 4th 'quietest' place to live a new international survey showed. Iceland Denmark and Norway are above us.
So if you want action, culture and the like.......................................... DON'T come to NZ.
If you want the quiet life its the place to be..unless you speak Icelandic, Norwiegan or Danish of course!!!

Quiet as in quiet of the grave?
No thanks. I'm still young and I have kids, noise is good! I wasn't ready to retire at 35.

It is certainly not quiet at my house every sunday morning. neighbour spends hours practicing her tap dancing moves. I thought i had too many wines one night. No. Turned out it was her practicing for five hours straight. Well i think she was. The hours all went into one.

Those places all have very noisy bustly nightlife centres, and are plagued with boy racers and the normal formula1 sounding cars driven by kiwis.
It may be quiet out in the styx, but that’s because no-one lives there!

You're right, there's a good reason why people all clump together in the cities, for safety mostly. Palmerston North sounds feral to me, didn't they fish some body out of the river there recently, some guy who'd been seriously assaulted and just before the case came to court he falls in a river and drowns. Sounds like a great place to bring up a family.

Where abouts in utopia do you live then? Been here 3 years living amongst all the sexual predators, murders and the like. Its been a breeze.
Your comment is so daft about bringing up a family.
What about the murdered lass in Taupo?
The murders in Auckland.
The mowing down of teenagers in Christchurch.
The axe murderer and other various nutters in Wellington.
Are they too all 'great' places to bring up kids???
Don't start slagging somewhere off until you have spent perchance atleast a month or two there aye? Crime happens everywhere ....didn't you know??

My word you're a real piece of work! why on earth are you talking to me like this, what is your problem? You're just another sad example of what we found unpleasant about New Zealand.
I don't know what life has thrown at you but it's made you very hard.

You have the temerity to say stuff like
'great place to bring up your kids' with shit loads of sarcasm. You make sweeping, negative statements, writing of somewhere I have found great to live for 3 years.
comments like that are bound to piss people off who are making a go of their lives in this 'awful' place.
Don't bother replying to me if you don't like it or put me on ignore.
You don't live in NZ anymore so try and get over it.

Actually I have read many, many of genisis's posts and he is a positive guy who appreciates what good things he has found living in NZ. His posts are of a breath of fresh air on this forum and put balance back into the picture for those contemplating the big move over.
