I've got a Dyson & the PSS fella told me to take it apart, clean it and change the filters, if that helps

Yeah! you have reminded me we had to change the filters. If you have an unusual make you may want to bring a supply of bags until you find a supplier. It took us a while. With everything you will have to do on arrival looking for hoover bags is the last thing you want to do.

Same here, we bought our Dyson with us. Stripped it, washed all the bits and put it back together. It looked like new.......sweet as.
No probs with MAF.

Bring whatever you can with you. We had a dyson but left it with OH's dad. I have bought one here but it is literally falling apart after 1 years use. A friend has the same make and hers is falling apart too.

Not helpful at all, just an observation on vacuum cleaners:
Our daughter's hair is 55cm long and killed our old Hoover. I took great pleasure in lobbing it out the back door as we left our house in York. Although we have had the new one less than 3 weeks, the hair has already made an assasination attempt :scared:

I know what you mean.....I'm forever pulling my hair out of the end of our cleaner too. With the cat hairs and my hair and a mucky toddler I spose my poor vaccuum cleaner doesnt stand a chance really. I have decided I will keep using it til it dies as decent ones here are pretty expensive...I just wouldnt buy the same make again... the plastic is splitting and its been taped up so I can use it.

Thanks for all the responses - looks like we need to take it apart then, we used to have a dyson for years but replaced about 1 year ago with this one. This is also a bagless hoover though, so looks like the OH will have to get his screwdrivers out again....

cheers all

I brought 3 packs of hoover bags back from UK last week, £2.96 a packet from ASDA.
