Public sector/service - now on strike?

The issue I can see here is that the gap between sectors has been growing and the attrition rate (turnover) is lower than the private sector and falling. I tend to think government should attempt to better align these sectors, the other thing is if they cave to strike action now it's going to be a long term ahead.

Certainly looking like NZ is heading into it's very own 'winter of discontent'. If the nurses are successful in getting what they want, then I am sure it will give others more courage to to push a harder line too.

...and the primary teachers join the lolly scramble!
Can we just assume everyone will be going on strike and dispense with the formalities?
