Pub quiz in Hamilton?
 

Hello to all Hamiltonians!

We used to be regulars at our local pub quiz at our previous place and have decided we miss the weekly fun and banter :D

Does anyone know of any good pub quizzes, preferably in North Hamilton (or the CBD?) We tried the one at the Cook but found it a bit odd...

There's one at the Cock and Bull (across main road from Harvey Normans) every tuesday night I think. I know because I've had dinner there twice on tuesdays and both times there was a quiz going on.

If I remember rightly I think one of the questions was 'What is the capital of Brazil?'
Does that sound like the type of questions you're after?

By the way, the answer isn't as easy as it sounds. Most seemed to get it wrong.

lol is it Brasilia? My guess would be that most people would've said Rio... It's not like geography is a strong subject of mine (I don't have a strong subject really), but it's easier when you've visited the country :)

Anyway, thanks for the tip, will have to check it out. Tuesday evenings suit us just fine. If you care to join us... give us a shout. Any other takers out there? :)

Honey, I seem to remember that you had lots of strong subjects, you're being far too modest.

We were quite shocked that you had moved as I had some pumpkin seeds I was going to drop off for the rats. They went into the bin :(.

Yea, it is Brasilia. Not many people have even heard of the place. I just happened to know the answer because we studied Brazil in 5th form geography all those years ago.
Might take you up on the offer of joining in at some stage. Especially if you need a Sports specialist. :)

Hi there

There is a pub quiz at the Quadrant, which is in the CBD (on victoria st) every Thursday night, its an Irish Pub. They have an extended happy hour from 4.00pm to 9.30! Havn't been myself just heard it advertised on the radio.

It was a shock to us too, we came down here for a long weekend, liked it, decided we fancied a change of scenery, found a place to rent and 3 weeks later we were here. Hardly time to do anything else other than pack, pack, pack! Thanks for the seeds anyway, it's the thought that counts...

Absolutely! My other half is better than me at sports (which isn't hard as I know nowt), but wouldn't call him a specialist... tomorrow's no good for us but I'll give you a shout if we make it next week. I'll PM you but will also post it here in case anyone else fancies joining us.

Can't think of any questions to ask you at the mo but I'm sure something will crop up at some stage, I can be very inquisitive :D

would love to go! just find it hard to get babysitters, especially during the week, if you find one at the weekend let us know and me and hubby might tag along! :)
