Default Protesters in Wellington

As you may be aware there are some people protesting about a thing and government are unhappy about the protests about the thing because they support the thing and want to disperse the protesters with the police and army. However other people who aren't interested in either are pointing out that just because they don't agree with the thing doesn't mean they can stop people protesting the thing while other people, who also aren't really interested in the thing, are annoyed because there are too many people protesting the thing which is causing congestion.

Any concerns I may have about such things, which are bordering on non existent, are massively overshadowed by my distain for the traveling army of the great unwashed and filthy hippies.

Can't say I have taken much notice either. What could possibly go wrong; a commune of unvaxxed, unmasked, unwashed hippies camping out in a shantytown during an outbreak of Omicron. The joss sticks, crystals, daily gong baths and yoga practice will keep them all safe.

Protesting is fine, generally.

As with elsewhere in the world, ruining the day to day lives of innocent residents isn't fair or reasonable.

Apparently 30% of Kiwis support the protests according to guff.co.nz () this morning, which isn't the question I asked but does indicate there is wider support for protests than I had initially assumed. If true the Wellington clique doesn't seem to be representing constituents views here at all. 60% against and the rest undecided.

Well I don't think they have much choice given that's where parliament was situated. Maybe when the big one hits Wellington we'll move it somewhere with more space to protest.

I couldn't find the "Don't Care" option in the poll

A prominent anti-vaxxer at the Parliament protest has admitted many of his fellow demonstrators are falling ill - although he claims COVID-19 is not the culprit.

Be careful out there and stay off of the devices folks.

Regardless of BE views it appears they've been removed or arrested.

I don't understand why they feel the need to protest.
Surely it makes sense that those in jobs that entail contact with members of the public should be vaccinated?

Well. It makes perfect sense to me.

There again ----- y'know ------ 'freedoms' and all that bluddy self-centred , self entitled guff . Apparently it should go before public health and well-being for all which in turn keeps everyone safer. Not just the special few.
