Premier League - 2 weeks to go!!!
Very excited that the Premier League season starts soon!! While I have no affiliation for any team, I do tend to pick a team to follow for the season (last year it was Fulham ....), this year I think i'll follow Crystal Palace.
I see on the TV One website that there will be a Highlights show on Monday evening after the news, brilliant timing!
Anyone keen on a Fantasy Football league??

There is a Fantasy Football League called 'Kiwi League' set up by mickey_d in 2010, I am not sure what the code is though. I am in it so its active, but I think the code changes every year.
If he doesn't see the thread maybe pm him.

I see the real stuff starts this weekend in the Football League, indecently early though with the World Cup not long over last month and the cricket season still in full swing.
Anyway my team despite being relegated last season sit neatly at the top of League 1, hopefully they stay at the top!

Good luck to your manager. I hope he does well for you. He'd have got us promoted out of league one in his first season or 2nd had a) he not been shafted by the board (Nick Blackman) and b) a striker we once had couldn't keep his dick in his pants We tried to sign Chris O Grady from you but he went to Brighton. Surprised at that, as he's no way a championship striker in my opinion - despite what that lot say up Penistone Road
As always, I hope West Ham get relegated although I don't share the injustice levels many of our supporters had upon relegation from the PL.
I'm glad sommet sports is on freeview. I don't think they'll have many league one games but they seem to have championship games on the box. If it means being able to support Forest or Huddersfield against that lot, then so be it. Always nice to see them lose in front of their massive 50,000 sell out crowd figures they have
Do you think you'll get out of league one at the first attempt? I think Leyton Orient, Bristol City and Preston will get out of it this season. I hope I'm wrong but I don't think we're good enough to get out of the division.

Re: Premier League - 2 weeks to go!!!
Don't they show match of the day on a Sunday morning here? I half heard my son and husband discussing it (Chelsea supporters).
I support Crystal Palace. Many, many years ago they trained next to my school and I went out with a youth team player who went on to play for England. My son thinks it's great that I could have been a WAG (although he's no idea who he was!!)

I can't see us going straight back up though, and relegation was hardly a surprise having escaped by the skin of the teeth in at least the 3 straight seasons beforehand, one of which on a count of a pompey losing points from going into administration.
It would be good to be challenging for play off though, than the bottom half of the table.
Kentishgirl, I'll take a guess on Gareth Southgate or John Salako??

Well after their trip to NZ, surely you all have to follow West Ham now :-) Mind you after their performance here, I might be picking a new team also!

Yeah, I certainly wasn't disappointed to see Danny Wilson return to Oakwell, he's been much traveled since but barely let anyone down, and always left a club in much better state than when he took over.

TV One are showing a live Premier League game each weekend too. First up;

The blue plastic Mancunian lot v. Stoke the week after that.
