Post from UK
Hi Everyone
What's the longest anyone has had to wait for a parcel from the UK?
My sister in law sent me a parcel 12 days ago and it's not turned up. I forgot to tell her to send it signed for so I can't track it either.
It's got clothing/cards/small gifts and after recently losing a suitcase of my kids belongings through PSS international, i'm flipping out right now :'-(
Thanks

Just over the counter with royal mail sent on the 3rd Nov standard international delivery. Not boxed, in a large plastic envelope that they sell in the post office.

think you should not start worrying to much until its been 3 weeks as customs over here can be very slow. we are assuming our box is with customs as its a plain one.
we ordered some books from BookDepositary and it took nearly 6 weeks, also Tesco delivery the other year ordered in November and didn't get to us until January and that was Customs here fault. Tesco had refunded me the money and then told me to keep the stuff and no need to pay back the refund when I told them it had turned up.

Ten to fourteen days is normal, it's a busy time of year also and might be held up in customs so really no need to be 'flipping out' at this stage.
I had the most amazing result recently with an M&S parcel ordered on a Thursday night, it arrived on my doorstep on the following Monday - I was utterly gobsmacked.

Re: Post from UK
I'd trained my parents in the UK to always ask if there was a cheaper option as inside the UK it makes little difference time wise. They applied this philosophy to a parcel sent to us in NZ, it took a little over 3 months and came on the boat!!
A postcard was sent to us by airmail mid October, its still not arrived and I expect its gone missing. Still, I won't give up hope until Christmas.
Quickest has been 5 days, but on average 10.

Do Tescos still do free international shipping like M&S do around this time of year. I ordered a lot from Tescos when they first started the free international delivery but it never arrived so they refunded me and then it turned up weeks after.

I posted my Christmas gifts to NZ 4th Nov and arrived 10th, tried to beat the Xmas post, although I have seen parcels take a month- usually the important ones. Royal Mail system has never failed in 5 yrs for us.

It's called sod's law, the mail always seems to have some intuitive stress tracking device; so the more important it is and the more desperate you are, the longer it takes.
