Police Checks
We have been told that each adult costs £35 for a police check- is this the going rate? Not that I don't trust them!!

Re: Police Checks
We paid 10 GBP each last year for ours and, from memory, got them back within a week or two.

Re: Police Checks
Evening All,
Police checks are £35 for standard service (returned within 10 days), £70 for premium service (returned within 2 days) and £5 for each additional copy
Prices are each person and you HAVE to get them via Association of Chief Police Officers - your local station do not do them, (google ACPO and go to "police certificates" at the bottom left of their home page).
Dont forget the signed photos!
Got mine back in about a week.
If you've onlt paid £10 i suspect it'll be returned and slow your process.
Hope that helps.

Re: Police Checks
We just got mine and OH's back yesterday. We paid GBP10 but it was the 40 day service. If you want the 10 day service you go a different route and pay GBP35 etc as per previous poster's message.
Our's did take a looong time but luckily we were in no rush and preferred to save the money.
This is the link for the GBP10 form.

This is from the NZ immigration site -
'Specific procedure for United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland
Go to the Association of Chief Police Officers website www.acpo.police.uk and click the Police Certificates Button, at the bottom left of screen. The instructions for applying for the certificate are on the form.'
