I need to try and chase up my police checks in the uk.. it's been nearly 7 weeks and not heard anything.
Does anyone have a contact number, so i can find out whats happening with them?????

All police checks go to Scotland yard for processing, if you look on there site you should get a contact number there.

I contacted our police HQ yesterday and was told it should not be more than 40 days, not working days, but 40 days including weekends, holidays etc.

the only number i have got is 020 7230 2958 or fax is 020 7230 2688 i thing the dial code is 0044 and you drop the first (0) off the 020 hope this helps

i'm a nightmare with the time diffenence i know what it is but still end up phoning at stupid o clock and waking people up. lol x

i have phoned them up and all i get is an answer phone, the local police said you cant speak to them just leave a message and they will call me back, so left a message and hopefully will hear from them soon x

I got through to them. I'm not sure it was on that number though but.
Try ringing the Met and asking to talk to someone about Subject Access.
