Points system
 

Hi I have been looking at the website for New Zealand and I am finding it hard to make head or tail of the points system.

Anyone any ideas?

I am a qualified Hairdresser with own business but I also hold a degree in Graphic Design

Have you had a look at the 'quick check' page to see how many points you would get... have a look here... http://www.immigration.govt.nz/migra...ne.htm?level=2

The points you qualify for will depend on various factors which include age, level of qualification and if your skills are on the 'most wanted' list amongst others. Also which category you are intending to apply under i.e investor or skilled migrant will affect the number of points required

The link takes you to an online points indicator thingy - you just tick the buttons that apply and it works it all out for you...:)

I have been on it and it is quite confusing, unless of course it is me lol

maybe that eh!

It said that I had a 115 points although I do have a foundation degree in Graphics and work with 3d Max, I don't do this as a full time job. Is there alimit to working? I mean in the Australia one you have to work 20 hours a week and I only freelance at this.

Any info would be great thanks
