phone interview help

Hubby has telephone interview tommorow night, for a job in New Zealand!!!
Scared is an understatement,we are a family of four, looking to emigrate, we cant decide where.
So here is where you guys help !!!! British Columbia was our first choice, then we looked at Australia or New Zealand.
We cant decide, but really want to get ball rolling, spent last year closing down my buisness, and this year daughter starts High School so were feeling under pressure to get going.
Hubby is Aircraft design enginner, and is on CSL for aussie, any thoughts guys ???
we like sunny climates, and want to spend more time outdoors with kids, and basically better lifestyle

Hi

good luck on the interview.

remember they cant see you so get online ready for a google search to answer hard question (just type quietly and stall the reply!!)

lay out any info on a bed so you can refer to that as well.

as for where with those three choices id say as Ricky Gervais would "You Avin a laugh!":D

bit of a how long is a bit of string question as all three will have much to offer.

Really all comes down to what you want as a family.

for me NZ is smaller, laid back.isolated from the rest of the world, has LOADS of space more importantly that space is VERY easy to get to and use, dosnt have water shortages on the scale that Aussie does and IMO will only get much worse in the future. Water will become the next oil in the future and the 'bank of NZ' will then be in credit!

Good luck

George

no probs.

good luck.

Nelson top of south island looks nice and sunny, and probably north island for better warm weather.

we are im Dunedin and it is alot better over a year for weather than we had in Cumbria but bloody freezing in NZ terms.

all the best

Interview went well, hubby was very nervous. But did his best, so will see ehat comes of it.
We may not hear for a while, so we now dont know wheter to start ball rolling with TRA as we would like to use an agent, but cant afford it.
Just feel like we need to get bal rolling. thought about movnig for the last 18 months, but had a buisness to close down.
We really need to get off this roundabout and do something productive

Hi when it happens like this with the interview as it did with us, we just went with the flow we had not had time to take up the long holiday plan to NZ as arranged. Job offer arrived befor that:thumbup: and we sold the house in 3 days:thumbsup: but that was back in 2003 and have not looked back.
I have a friend that works for the Christchurch company as an Enginner/Traning Manager at the airport should you need any info please just pm. me as I could give you his e-mail he did work for UK Air force.
By the way NZ is so good for spending time outdoors my husband is now so keen on fishing and is camping out tonight!!! some thing he would have not done back in the UK.
You will need to look at the place you would like to live but have to say its all down to the job offer:cool:hope it all works out for you.
